Willie James Cheatham of Laurel MD unexpectedly passed away on May 26th 2016.

He was born on February 17th 1943 in Doerun GA to the late Boisy and Mittie Cheatham. He was the youngest of 10 children.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and after 7 years joined the U.S. Air Force where he was a special investigative agent with OSI.   During his service with the Air Force he was awarded several medals and commendations.  He retired from the military with 20 years of service.

From his retirement from the Air Force he worked for the U.S. Secret Service as an agent with the technical security division.  He was promoted to branch chief and retired after 20 years.

After his retirement he continued to work as a security consultant with Lennon Security.

Willie leaves behind a wife Kathy, three children Nicole, Kara and Marcelo, son-in laws John and Joey, and  grandchildren Damian and Logan,  one brother, 4 sisters and many other family members and friends.

Memorial service will be held at Carroll Baldwin Hall 9035 Baltimore St. Savage MD on June 25th at 11:30am.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any military organization of your choice that supports our troops or veterans.
